I wish I knew this Before!
Well let me start by saying that Rockey is a very active dog, he loves long walks in Al Reef and can stay outdoors for hours and hours if he gets the chance. The problem we had with Rockey is that every time we forgot the garden or main door opened, he immediately runs away! And on many occasions, we had to search for him for hours.
My concern is that he may be run over by cars as he is small and rather hard to spot on the street, also as he is too friendly, he may wander deep in the community making it harder to find him. Yes, many times he just comes back home after his adventures as he knows how to come home. But as I said, because he may be harmed if left alone. I started using a simple solution that is both practical and inexpensive.
Using Apple Airtag made all the difference, now if he runs outside the house, I can track him easily and ensure he returns safely home, the device is pretty accurate and is very light causing no discomfort even to a small dog like Rockey.
